Designed by A77 architects Kristina Kirsenko and Ksenia Karabanova, this project is called D-2108 and the apartment area is 55 ㎡. They are designed for a young couple from the IT and aerospace industries who travel a lot and like to be visually simple and concise.
In this project, the main goal is to create a clean space without unnecessary details and open storage. This concept is based on the idea of the interaction between geometric volume, light and reflection. The huge space is made up of white walls and is interrupted by glass inserts. Mirrors complicate the space, and natural granite and ebony add a touch to it.
Renovated, a spacious living room was created, inside with a soft area and a mirror block. It not only separates the hallway and bedroom, but also serves as a place to store items in each zone. The kitchen is located within the original boundaries, and in order to visually expand it, the designers added a glass partition between the kitchen and the living room. Combining the bathroom and toilet and extending it through the corridor. This is the reason why we have a spacious shower room with laundry. The living room consists of several zones.
Mainly a soft area with sofas and armchairs. During the day you can see the trees outside the window, and at night you can put down the screen to watch movies. In front of the sofa there is a coffee table made of natural granite, and a warm light from the floor lamp encourages residents to read on armchairs. Between the two windows is a place for housewives who create music to get creative. On the contrary, behind the mirrored facade, there is an office with a small work area, a bench and a bookshelf. The bedroom is located in a niche, separated from the living area by glass partitions and thick curtains. In the center is a low black wooden bed, on either side of which are white metal bedside tables. There is no overhead lighting in the bedroom, only wall lights and small chandelier lighting in the closet.
