Located in an integrated community in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the villa's design prioritizes the comfort of daily use and creates spacious and bright spaces. On the morphological level, the villa building consists of two superimposed volumes, in which a subtraction operation is performed to generate an internal courtyard and connect the different spaces. These terraces provide indoor lighting and ventilation, while bringing an indoor-outdoor feel to the villa.
Low-maintenance materials such as concrete, aluminum profiles and tiles are used in simple neutral tones. A series of sliding aluminum blinds provide shade to different spaces of the house depending on the direction of the sun and the time of year. Security and privacy are the first priority of the owners, so the front facade of the gate protection will not be exposed to the street. At the same time, the vertical grid on the elevation gives privacy to the interior. These decisions gave the house a pure and simple language, closed forward but open to the back and sides.
