Two admirers with a passion for 80s art and Italian design, Studio Jean Verville was attracted by a past plan to invite the team to design their sanctuary in the forest. THE GOAL IS TO INTEGRATE INTO THEIR DAILY LIVES WITH WHIMSICAL PLANS, A CHALLENGE TO THE ABSOLUTE COHESION OF THE SUBVERSIVE APPROACH TO THE STUDIO.

The project implements a personalized alternative universe designed in a collaborative spirit and ludicization approach, and then developed with architectural mathematical rigor. THE PROJECT EVOKES THIS QUIRKY WORLD OF THE '80S IN A SUBTLE WAY, CELEBRATING MULTIPLE REFERENCES IN A SYSTEM RICH IN EXPRESSIVE AND CONTRASTING RELATIONSHIPS TO CONVEY THE PERSONALITY OF THE OWNER. In order to blend in with the surrounding nature, the studio presents an organic form and an original appearance, facing its materials with a set of curves, in a meticulous implementation, its luxury embodied in an interior with graphics, volumes and materials evolving in a glittering colored fabric.

This unique location depends on the presence of streams that cross the land. On the south side, the linear layout of the room allows one to constantly see the landscape and streams. On the north side, two different volumes are connected by a fully glazed entrance that looks like a long elevation united by a single roof. Although the full mathematical logic of the function requires the exclusion of roof surfaces in Brint, its shape is redefined by changes in the ridge axis, which hinders reading of the volume and enables new complex contours to be animated.

In a set of formal solutions, volume hides storage and home elements to express a structured system. Unleash the possibilities of visual impact, textures, colors and materials with the light reflected in the chandelier. Play a game of opposites of volume and surface, decorate yourself with various elements, patterns and colors, fighting for traces of childhood. Lawrence Forest is the quintessence of a vacation in nature, welcoming home studios on remote lands, providing a vibrant and free place to live and work.
