“Casa Che'Che” creates a cool atmosphere that corresponds to the Mexican climate of Merida. The main purpose of thinking and designing this house is to ensure that every space is full of freshness, which is how it was born: “Che'Che” means freshness in Mayan.

Freshness is the main element of the design in the layout of the house, which allows designers to create terraces and gardens for each interior space, thereby generating a full flow of air from the interior of the house. Javier Puga Estudio has placed lattice walls on the top to capture the dominant north wind as they rotate on the terrace and generate air currents that enter the house. In the outdoor space, a water element is placed, which blows the moist breeze through the space of the house. The main design intention is to use local materials such as stone, sand and wood to create modular buildings, explore the shadow composition of the landscape and architectural elements, expand the space through the terrace, expand the visual perception of the interior atmosphere, create a significant internal height to avoid the concentration of heat in the places where the space occupies.

On the first floor, Javier Puga Estudio is divided into a public area with pedestrian and vehicular access, toilet, kitchen, laundry area, restaurant, living room, terrace and garden for each space, as well as the pool area house located at the rear. On the other hand, the upper floor is a private area where there are three bedrooms, the first with a wardrobe and a private terrace, the second with a wardrobe that can be used as a study, and finally, behind the master bedroom there is a private bathroom, closet and balcony overlooking the pool.
