The concept of FBV WP house is based on an in-depth analysis of each landscape element as well as the lifestyle of the owner. The composition of these volumes is carefully designed, and the eyes of the inhabitants will be drawn to the interior of the land, with the preserved forest land as a backdrop. Taking into account elements such as the sun, the forest, the pool and the time spent with friends, Gabriel Garbin Arquitetura designed an L-shaped building facing the sunset. The center of the plot is where people look and where they spend time together. Perceptions of internal and external space change frequently.
Two white blocks are connected vertically to the third block, the higher block is built of stone. The first body block, which has an entrance to the building, has a wooden unit consisting of mashrabiya. On the right, there is a bedroom, in front, access to the pool area, on the left, access to the social area. In this block, the designer placed the service area, which can be accessed through the social area and the external corridor. In the annex at the edge of the building, there are some elements with less frequent use: a games room, a sauna and a spa - all of which can see the tennis court and the woods further afield.
The balcony can be fully integrated into the living area — when the frame is open, it can be combined along the wall separating the dining room and kitchen to fully open the span. Designers created spaces that foster social interaction throughout the house, intending to visually integrate all spaces with social purposes — even if this integration is not so close at times. All bedrooms can be accessed through this garden corridor with enhanced lighting and cross ventilation. The bedroom has a universal lounge chair that doubles as a private deck on the balcony, facilitating a further fusion of the landscape and the interior. One can sit down to watch the sunset. In terms of materials, designers choose to use local resources, such as stone, wood, and texture of the walls.
The garden is an extension of the local forest that brings a feeling of integration between the architecture and the surrounding nature. Through this project, Gabriel Garbin Arquitetura tries to bring the audience into different scenes and purposefully open moments of daily life. The fleeting landscape and sky frames draw people's eyes from inside buildings to nature and life outside.
