Dialogue horizon —
The owner of the house and his family, after ending the rented life of modern social urbanites, chose this casual beachfront residence next to the Incheon Bridge as their last living nest. They want to gaze at the horizon and dream of an unpredictable future of life.
DISTORTED AXIS OF OBSERVATION AND DYNAMICS —
Using the axis of the site as the axis of observation, the sea view is too distant. In order to see the sea view and avoid the neighboring buildings, we turned the angle of each room of this house towards the nearby sea, so a picturesque sea view can be seen in every place of this house and formed the dynamics of the house.
Leisure Life —
Panoramic views of the Incheon Sea can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace of each room. Each terrace is connected to the aerial porches, which are viewing platforms facing the sea and form the spatial element of the surrounding inner courtyard.
The visual link between land and sea —
Introducing water as a building stream, pond or waterfall, connects the ocean and land through a visual landscape.
Dramatic living space and friendship between family members —
In modern Korean society, the frequency of family gatherings in everyday life is low. So we introduced a dramatic public living space with a visible panoramic sea view and through this vertical living space designed the flow of each room so that each family member can help meet each other.
Korean Sex and Location —
Introduces the concave curves of traditional Korean buildings, consistent with the dynamic sails of sea ships. Thus, we present the Korean formativity and the localization of the ocean.
The dream of moving towards life —
ON THIS LEISURELY LIFE SAILING BOAT, ALL MEMBERS OF THIS FAMILY WILL NAVIGATE AN UNPREDICTABLE FUTURE OF LIFE, CONSTANTLY LOOKING OUT OVER THE HORIZON.
