As “single living” is increasingly portrayed as a byword for ideal living, those who follow the worldly good will of “multi-child families” find their living spaces become more realistic design issues.
This case is located in Hainan, which has a very humid climate and spring seasons, and is a three-storey villa. The landlord is a couple, plus three children. The hostess is a nutritionist, passionate about cooking and hanging out with friends at home. The three babies' mutual growth comes naturally with many nutrients. Involving the shared growth of two generations is the most important design premise of this case.
The designers borrowed three levels of space by combining the dimensions of people, needs, functions and more to create a “parallel world of a home”: one floor of public space for daily interactions and gatherings of friends; a second floor semi-open children's world, exclusive to children; three floors are fully functional for adults. The three spaces are independent of each other and interrelated. Bring the spirit of nature into the room again, consolidate the childish fun of children and adults, and restore a healing home.
The pattern of life, the pattern of home, the tranquility of adults does not conflict with the splintering of children. The designers chose large areas of neutral wood+pure white to form the background color of the space, which collides with each other and attracts each other. The original wood color not only as a decoration, but also extends to custom cabinets, event furniture, etc., in the two-color interaction Stacking, isolating the space from the level.
On the first floor, in addition to the washroom and babysitting room, there are other thoroughly realized suites. The open area extends from the entrance gate to the balcony. The light travels freely in space, reflects and overlaps with the interior lighting arrangement. Surrounding the restaurant, living room, staircase, piano area with the kitchen island as the central hub, parents and children can interact seamlessly while busy and playing while they are busy and playing.
A new room does not seem so attractive to children compared to adults who are always enthusiastic about new homes, and the designers gave this home one of the boldest and best gifts: a fully open children's world. Connect all the spaces on the second floor with the help of a mobile cord to leave as much space as possible to play. The low-saturated green and red colors combined with the roof and hollow design elements create a childish atmosphere. The whole floor area is not large, but the view is transparent, the feeling of extension is endless.
Considering that as the child grows more and more private space, there are also special pocket doors that can be closed, each space can be closed to become a separate bedroom, free of constraint and challenge to each other.
There is endless fun to be had with children, but the adult world also needs a moment of silence. The master's room is set on the quietest three floors in a combination of wood and pure white, giving a peaceful and serene feel to life.
THERE ARE EXITS IN THE SOUTH AND NORTH, AND A GLASS BRICK WALL DIFFUSES LIGHT, SEPARATING THE BEDROOM AND BATHROOM WITH A MICRO CEMENT INTEGRATED TOILET FOR CLEAN HEALING, ADDING EXTRA CONVENIENCE TO BUSY LIFE IN A LIMITED SPACE.
The floor-to-ceiling windows express the interest of adults and the large terrace outside the window is an unforgettable private space for the couple. From a limited interior, you can explore the area between house and home in a state of easy switching between space and character.
