The house is located in Shallow Bay on the south side of Hong Kong Island, a very quiet area. From here you can see the magnificent view of the beach and the marine park. Designed by local Hong Kong company Starz Pasha, the apartment features minimalist curves and soothing nude tones.
Clients are a couple who like to host friends and family. Since the house was designed during the pandemic, when the couple spent a lot of time at home, we focused on achieving a balanced use of space between husband and wife, combining areas with different functions. They wanted a large bedroom and a suite with walk-in robe, as well as a quiet meditation area. Storage space for their art and collectibles is another requirement and also requires the use of lotus pattern flooring in the project. All in all, I want to create a new home that looks like a shelter.
There they can immediately feel calm. The interior design is inspired by the traditional Cycladic architecture on the Greek islands, the designer designed the house as a beige shelter with a minimalist style. The goal is to create a perfect balance between aesthetics and function, using unique materials such as lotus patterned flooring and different nudes.
The designer used beige micro-cement on the walls to create a rustic texture, and walnut lotus pattern flooring and red marble on the entrance and fireplace base added a touch of luxury to the home. THE FURNITURE CHOSEN IS SOFT, RADIANT, AND CONTRASTS WITH THE NEAT LINES OF THE FIREPLACE. The wooden floor with lotus pattern is the most popular detail because it reflects and blends curved walls and evokes a sense of flow, inspired by the natural environment of the home. This is also the primary factor that connects us with Starz Pasha.
