The villa's service space is built on a brick base overlooking the nearby castle and rural outpost. ROCKETT DESIGN ORGANIZES THE MAIN PUBLIC SPACE INTO A TWO-TIER HIGH-CORE AREA THAT CONNECTS SEAMLESSLY TO THE EXTERIOR. When the glass sliding door is opened, the wooden leather-covered cornice above becomes an awning for indoor/outdoor living. Exterior wood-covered grilles provide warmth to offset the roughness of the brickwork and adjust the surrounding structure to control views, sunlight and privacy.
