The simple cement slab form of the Point Mossy Peninsula villa references the smooth, silvery bark of the towering specks of rubber trees around the house, while also echoing the tiny “fibre” hut of the site's original inhabitants. The interior space is lined with unique plywood and mottled wood flooring, allowing the carefully defined space to shape and coordinate natural light and connect with the native landscape and waterways of the surrounding site. A gap in the center of the roof line creates a sheltered outdoor dining space open to the sky and horizon, while also shaping the central focal point of the dwelling on the interior and defining its entrance. THIS BLANK OF A HOME CENTER CLEARLY DIVIDES INTERNAL FUNCTIONS INTO SOCIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIVATE FUNCTIONS.
Point Mossy Peninsula Villas need a robust design approach to meet their limited budget while maintaining a clear relationship with their interior and surrounding landscape. The residence is presented as a single-story building, set on a series of parallel masonry walls, and has evolved to reconcile the subtle differences between architecture, nature and contemporary habitability. The interior space is lined with unique plywood and speckled eucalyptus flooring, creating a stable sanctuary atmosphere that allows a precisely defined space to shape and coordinate the dark contrast of natural sunlight, creating a framework for observing the natural landscape. The main single-tier layout with no stairs and exquisite stainless steel details such as bathroom towels, bathrobes, and handrails provide passive support for clients with late Parkinson's disease, providing dignified infrastructure for foster care and foster care.
The site selection for the project has been carefully thought out to respect the neighbouring neighbours, and the area of the house and its utilities are aligned to the south of the site to ensure maximum exposure of the northern sun to the living space. The site also gave careful consideration to the location of the existing spot glue tree, ensuring that only two mature trees were removed, both of which had been identified as pathological and nearing the end of life. The whole project uses low-cost and natural flexible materials, with sustainably sourced wood being the main structural and interior decoration material. The outer barestone clad edging is laminated and used as a shelf for kitchen food storage. Apart from ceiling fans, there is no cooling system installed in the house.
