EJ Residence is a minimalist residence in Singapore designed by Right Angle Studio. Hidden in a quiet street on the outskirts of the city, this duplex apartment aims to achieve timeless essentialism in harmony with its unique architectural features. The house is designed with a basic aesthetic that blends in with the lush surroundings, eliminating any clutter or unnecessary distractions.

The open floor layout makes the distinction between indoor and outdoor less clear, providing a seamless experience for guests and homeowners. The interior space mainly uses washed-out textures of white waxwood, marble and lime, complemented by low-key furniture combinations, allowing for a continuous conversation between the living area, the dining area and the terrace area.

The B&B Italia Charles sofa, restored from the customer's previous collection, has been redecorated in outdoor fabric to reassert its timelessness, floating lights purchased from New York and a variety of artworks selected from artists Lim Tze Peng, Takashi Murakami and Nai Swee Leng are just a few of the standout pieces. A hidden doorway overlooking the double-height area is elegantly fixed to hide the passage to the public restroom and backyard, adding depth to the linear contour and embodying the aesthetics of the studio. The private space of the master's room, study and children's room are located above the apartment.
