Flax Factory Loft is a loft apartment in Kortrijk, Belgium, designed by Leire & Deklerck. With an area of 140 ㎡, it embodies spacious modern living. The design concept blends industrial elements harmoniously with a comfortable, natural atmosphere through the thoughtful interplay of shapes and materials. At the heart of the loft design is the anthropomorphic pattern on the parquet floor, which corresponds to the geometric lines of the truss across the dwelling. This architectural feature adds a distinct character to the space, creating a visual dialogue between traditional and modern design elements. The living area is considered the center of the attic, with the kitchen in the center of Nakajima, becoming the focus of functionality and aesthetics. Lime stoneware in soft brownish-gray tones seamlessly blends into the overall design palette, blending well with an industrial background.

The walls are painted with lime paint, creating a calm and cohesive look, softening the industrial feel. Contrast plays a key role in interior design. The crisp, clean lines of the truss are juxtaposed with softer, more whimsical kitchen cabinets. The balance of this element emphasizes the complex design approach. The loft is also a canvas for the couple to enjoy vintage furniture and art. Famous works include the Jocky recliner designed by Jorge Zalszupin, which is a symbol of medieval design. The art collection is unique and distinctive, including Pablo Picasso's 1959 Vallauris Exposition, a stone print from the 1001 Hasen collection, Imi Knoebel's “Copper Rabbit” from the 1001 Hasen collection, and Johan Houthoofd) works such as “Congo”.
