Antonia Apartment is a simple apartment in Valencia, Spain, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio. Focusing on 100 ㎡ apartments, the project aims to provide simplicity and comfort, reimagining the space and providing a relaxing living experience. The architects transformed the previously segmented apartment into an L-shaped open layout, enhancing the flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas, while ensuring the privacy of the two bedrooms located at either end. This design not only makes the most of natural light, allowing views of the local church through spacious windows, but also promotes a seamless visual connection between public areas. A key feature of the design is the strategic use of soft shutters to regulate natural light, creating a dynamic interaction of light and shadow, adding poetry to the interior.
This, combined with the adaptability of the roof structure, introduces texture and depth to the space, transforming potential defects into eye-catching design elements. The addition of prominent longitudinal lights further enriches the atmosphere, injecting drama and emotion into the public area. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel, which takes advantage of the reflection and absorption of light, changing its appearance as the day progresses. This area is not only functional, but aesthetically connects rooms, entrances and main living spaces. Throughout the transition, the use of oak slats ensures a cohesive look that cleverly hides doors and storage space, creating a tidy environment. The dining table, made of the same wood, embodies the harmonious relationship between the furniture and the overall design spirit of the apartment.
