The ancient city of the Six Dynasties, the metropolis of the Ten Dynasties. Nanjing has been a place and cultural hub of Jiangnan since ancient times and today. Located in the heart of the main city, Changjiang Mansion is located in the central part of the city, combining the natural scenery of the bustling city and the heritage of the values of the Liki empire. As one of the premier master bedroom transformations, this project aims to reinterpret the ideal of pure and luxurious living and an aesthetic statement infused with artistic flair through contemporary design.
Practicing the conceptual design of “design and aesthetics hidden in the way of life”, in this case introducing the French elegance that occupies the Aesthetic Heights. Using contemporary, minimalist methods of eclecticism, the layout and interior design of this large flat roof luxury house of 230 ㎡ strives to create a sense and elegance, simple and refined coexist, while having a warm dwelling with outward and inward properties.

01 Simple and voluminous

The project itself is a trihedral room with all the top and part of the walls filled with hair ducts, subject to many design restrictions. But constraints are the difficulty of transformation rather than the origin of innovation, seeking emotional interpretation based on reason. In the overall space of simple contours, the interior reflects the nude main tones of the curtains, decorated to match the rustic wood tones, restoring the gentle texture of life, which infuses the essence of French aesthetics with effortless authenticity and sophistication. The concept design delves deeply into the owners' thoughts and aspirations for the unique way of life of the “home”. Based on the original layout, the medium moments of the original layout can be adapted with a rigorous and detailed artistic style to optimize the scene of personal aesthetics and personal preferences to accommodate a multidimensional integration of lifestyle, family relationships, and social interaction. A home-like experience.

When you enter the entrance, the visual focus is attracted by the shape of the hinged gables that fold like satin, which is like a captivating “appetizer”. The overlay of wood and stone gives white a more expressive artistic expression, a ritualistic work of art in the background of light, but also a playfulness and courage to break the existing program, and the interest of life comes from a few unexpected details.

02 The more fluid, the more self-contained

Removing the open form of excess partition walls that permeate the public areas, maximizes the natural advantages of the environment and the building and releases large house winds. THE SMOOTHNESS OF THE SPACE IS CHEERFUL, THE VIEW SPREADS TO THE ENTIRE FLOOR, AND THE NUDE FACIAL INTERFACES SHINE IN THE ABUNDANT SUNLIGHT, FEELING THE LAZINESS OF SEX AND THE HEALING VIGOR OF HEALING. In addition to the seamless integration of the dining room, the balcony and the living room are also integrated through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing the natural “frame” of the view outside the window into the interior. The cream mist of the curtains adds a smooth visual beauty to flow under the light. The laundry area is hidden behind the same colored micro-cement cabinet doors, turning practical functions into the art of living.

Hidden in the vibration of blocks, colors, and rhythms, multiple visual elements resonate with each other, presenting a serene and elegant visual structure and sensory experience. The simple and elegant TV wall instead accentuates the high-end quality of the sound equipment. The first meaning of comfort and warmth is often interpreted in the form of an arched wraparound feel. THE FIREPLACE IS REFERENCED AT THE HEIGHT OF THE SOFA, SPARKLING AGAINST THE TEXTURED BACKGROUND OF STONE, STEREOTYPING THE LONGITUDINAL MEMORY OF SPACE, ADDING THE WARMTH AND POETRY OF THE FIREWORKS OF THE TIME TO THE “FLOW” POSTURE. The gently rounded openwork door frames restore the aesthetics of French architecture, but break the exact symmetry of the axis on the layout, striking a wonderful balance between order and drama. The open kitchen extends Nakajima to the dining table, forming an integrated dining, coffee, bar counter, and social area. The simple design inspires a light and natural urban fashion, and offers more possibilities for inclusive and harmonious family interaction.

03 The Poetics of Memory

Home is a container for physics and a carrier of the spirit, and contains many past and present intersections of matter and nonmatter, extending infinitely across the spatial and temporal dimensions. In accordance with the free movement of space, the artistic devices that carry the occupant's love and emotions are carefully touched, and when the emotions of the subconscious are awakened, the objects have a different silhouette and a poetic beauty is born from this. The low-saturation spatial background softens after repeated reflections of natural light, and the indirect light environment of the structure without a main light structure has a warm texture. Earth colors combined with deep, deep and light wood systems give the bedroom and the study a deep sense of immersion, utilizing different levels of color blocks to naturally create visual cushioning and progression. The combination of materials such as flax, fleece and wood is combined with a rustic organic touch to enhance comfort and security at the level of body and body, making it an indispensable essential element of the “home”.
