LOCATED IN THE ZUSHIKO COAST RESIDENTIAL AREA OF SAGAMI BAY IN KANAGAWA PREFECTURE, JAPAN, ROOVICE RENOVATED THEIR APARTMENT FOR A COUPLE. Although this is only a unit in a multi-storey house, once you enter the room, the feeling of being a neighbor disappears completely. This effect is attributed to the special shape of the residence, which provides a direct private exclusive landscape, giving one the experience of being embraced by nature. To do this, the first step is to move the kitchen along the corridor to expand the living room, compress the traffic and introduce magnificent views of the bay through the long horizontal windows of the living room.

Being able to enjoy the bay view from the large open window of the living room is the most vivid feature of the apartment. The transformation aims to make it the heart of the family to highlight this advantage. Since the living room and entrance are located on both ends of the apartment, making the living room the space that comes first when entering the interior is the biggest challenge of the project. The service rooms are arranged in a grid arrangement along the sides of the corridor, and the bedroom and the north-facing studio have their own windows to see the building's public spaces. The toilet, bathroom and kitchen storage are located in the middle of the plane, which helps to form a clear separation between the sleeping area and the living area.

The design is designed to create a space that is as fresh and breathable as possible, giving the home a more coastal feel. The simple method of painting all interior walls white is one of the important strategies to achieve the goal, and the increase in ceiling height further enhances the interior space. After the renovation, both the room and the corridor were left with white unfinished ceilings, and electronic wires and pipe components naturally exposed. Fusing indoor greenery with the surrounding natural environment is crucial, and living room leaf plants make a good transition between cozy indoors and wild outdoors through their natural green texture. As a response, the chandelier uses a vivid green wire that reminds one of the branches of a plant. The final highlight of the renovation is the skylight in the corner of the living room, which has designed an area where you can lie down and feel the scenery, bringing a relaxing and comfortable feeling to the whole life.
