How to find the perfect balance between luxury and comfort in home design is an important issue for every designer. Located in the Dalian District of Shunde, Guangdong, this 84-storey “stage” home is carefully crafted by a super space studio that not only has a great view, but also combines natural scenery with modern design to connect outdoor beauty with indoor living. This article will take you deeper into this design case and answer common space design questions and explore how to incorporate natural elements into modern homes.
Located in the Dalian New Area of Shunde, near Shunfeng Mountain Park, this residence is the second residence of the owner. As a business owner, I want this home to be both flexible in arranging space and conveying an authentic, natural feel. After understanding the owner's needs, the design team uses the concept of oriental aesthetics to redesign the layout of the space to give this modern home a more cultural background and design feel.
The design team moves the entrance gate into the hallway, where the movement lines gather and disperse to each space area. Such a design not only guarantees the integrity of the living room, but also makes the entrance hall a natural transitional space, forming smooth lines of movement. As the heart of the complex, the hallway cleverly connects the restaurant and the living room, making these areas a unified open space, enhancing the overall transparency.
Faced with the office style of the original dynamic partition, the designers made a clever reconfiguration of the space to make the functions of each zone more distinct. The open design of the study allows natural light and air to circulate freely, reactivating the previously darker hallway space. In addition, the wall art murals add vitality and visual interest to the hallway.
The design team transformed the nearly 8-meter-long balcony into a tatami area and connected to the living room, making the balcony a “stage” for the home. Floor-standing windows bring the natural beauty of the outdoors into the interior, like a seasonally changing landscape of mountains. Curtains can not only filter the light, but also adjust the reflection of the exterior view, making the interior space lively and lively.
In the choice of materials, the design team used solid ironwood and antique marble, combined with clean and elegant home fabrics to create a natural and cozy atmosphere throughout the space. The application of these natural materials not only reveals the rustic beauty, but also enhances the texture and atmosphere of the space.
By choosing dark wood floors and wood finishes, the bedroom space exudes a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Designed with warm-toned wall fabrics and home fabrics, along with multi-level blackout curtains, the bedroom becomes a comfortable space for relaxation. Such a design not only meets the living needs of modern people, but also effectively enhances the overall beauty of the home.
The leisure needs of modern families are diversified, and the designer breaks with the traditional living room design around the TV. The sofa with backrest in the living room is combined with the tatami area, dividing the space into different functional areas, meeting the diverse needs of the home. At the same time, this layout also gives family members more space to interact and exercise.
Located in the Dalian district of Shunde, this 84-floor residence shows how designers cleverly incorporate natural elements into modern living spaces and combine flexible space planning with meticulous materials to create living spaces full of oriental aesthetics and modernity. Super-space studio has been designed to meet all the needs of the owner for home life, making this home both practical and full of art. If you are also looking for high-quality space design inspiration, this case is undoubtedly a great reference.
