In every love story, there is a moment when a couple imagines the home of their dreams. One day he found an option and fell in love with the place. Designer Maya Scheinberger helps a family with two children realize their dreams in an apartment in Tel Aviv — and the budget is within a reasonable range.
“When I first met with my family, I was excited to talk about the house's needs, features, dreams, and budget adjustments every time. I listen to all the wishes of customers, and most importantly, listen to what they do not say. So I can provide precise solutions and alternatives to achieve family dreams,” says designer Maya Sheinberger.
A family with two daughters bought a set of this apartment with an open kitchen - living room, four bedrooms, an office, two bathrooms and a storage room. The advantages of housing are large window views and plenty of natural light, but at the same time, the size of the storage space and kitchen are not enough for the owners. The original kitchen was located in the location of the current study room, very small. But this family loves to cook and receive guests, so some adjustments have to be made to the size of the area. Designers have adapted the kitchen to make it the center of the home. It has a black and white two-tone design, in the center is a large island table with a marble countertop, surrounded by bar stools.
The lunch part is very important for a family, and they often have dinner on Fridays. A dining area with a round table, with a wooden base and a rotating marble table, is placed opposite the living room. The contrast of neutral tones of the walls, dark and light furniture make up the minimalist style of this apartment. A lot of storage space that designers distribute throughout the space helps to keep minimalism's inherent visual “silent.”
To the left of the living room are cabinets with black paneled panels that hide walk-in closets and invisible air conditioning vents. The line is continued by tall kitchen cabinets with a hidden entrance leading to a separate food storage room. Glass partitions have been installed next to the restaurant to separate the public area from the study, but allow the father who works from home to keep in touch with his family. The environment of the mini-study is concise: a storage rack and a workplace.
In the parents' room, a dark closet with pink niches is striking, inside which there is a dressing table with a mirror. In the bathroom connected to the bedroom, the owner asks to create a spa atmosphere. The designers chose dark tones: the walls are covered with black mosaic, and the sink cabinet has a black finish and can accommodate two sinks. Above them are two mirrors with built-in lighting. The girls' room is decorated in pleasant, warm pink tones, and the bedroom has a custom wardrobe, and there is space for books and toys to be placed inside. The girls share a bathroom with pink tiled walls and gray floors.
