In order to adapt to the needs of modern families and create a comfortable city life, the project transformed the terrace house. The neighborhoods in which the project is located are these terrace dwellings, which use replica folding roofs, some prefabricated, and materials from the early 1990s.
The design takes full advantage of terrain elevation differences. The ground floor space with small windows is located below the ground level, so the entrance is like a dim basement. But fortunately, the end of the house is a small garden with mature trees, and it is difficult to enter due to the poor height of the base. In addition, the main rooms face a good direction, but all face the street alley. The interior layout divides the house on each floor into separate areas that share an entrance.

The indoor net height of 2.5 meters determines the overall atmosphere of the house. In order to adapt to this situation, the house is unified into a whole that meets the needs of a family, and the staircase also becomes the center of the layout. The exterior of the house is divided based on the uniform shape of the original folding roof. The top cover is made of fiber cement board and transitions to the roof. Frameless glass oak windows are visually adjacent to the roof edge. The roof covering integrates a retractable sunshade that covers the entire terrace area of the garden.

This small garden is enough to meet all the needs of current use. The interior view determines its composition. Although the garden has been transformed, the ancient cherry tree is still its main feature. A few weeks after moving in, the whole family harvested cherries.
The service function of the bottom level remains unchanged, and as much as possible the light is introduced, making this a normal basement space. The entrance hall allows you to even see the stairs by adding windows. In the underground space, the house extends further inward, conveniently above it is a terrace. In the gym, bare concrete shows the use of different structures.

On the second floor, separate rooms are arranged around the central staircase, creating a space that connects with each other. Visual links and garden landscape become important elements of the design. A large sliding door connects the living room with the garden. Ground clearance and elevation changes help to connect the interior directly to the garden, while the increase in room height also makes the entire floor more vibrant.
There is a bedroom on the top floor, which can be accessed from the hallway around the stairs. The master bedroom has a private dressing room and a bathroom. The previously planned study room was transformed into another bedroom during construction.
