Casa Chouso is a minimalist style semi-detached villa in Ansião, Portugal, designed by Bruno Dias. Casa Chouso is a new residential project located in the village of Casal de S. Brás, with magnificent views of the village and Sicó mountains. The concept of the project is inspired by the natural environment of the land, which has dense trees and rock formations, as well as fragments of local history, including a paddy field once used for agricultural purposes and social gatherings. The project's name Casa Chouso reflects the history of the land, as “chouso” means the fence or enclosed area used by shepherds to put cows. The project aims to blend seamlessly with the natural environment while providing customers with the privacy and comfort they need.
The project is designed with an L-shaped layout that separates the social and functional areas from a terrace that blends into the existing environment. THE EAST WING OF THE PROJECT INCLUDES FUNCTIONAL AREAS SUCH AS BARBECUE AND GARAGE, WHILE THE WEST WING HAS SOCIAL AND PRIVATE AREAS INCLUDING STUDY ROOMS, BEDROOMS, LIVING AND DINING AREAS, KITCHEN AND STORAGE ROOMS. The interior design is characterized by the use of real materials, including stone and wood, which gives the space a modern and comfortable character. All elements used in the decoration were specially designed by the construction studio responsible for this project. All in all, Casa Chouso provides a beautiful and practical space deeply rooted in the history and natural environment of this land.
