This house is located in Linhong, Shanghai, and is a first-floor residence with a basement. We have carefully planned a multifunctional space for learning, reading, relaxing, and fitness, creating a warm and relaxing home for this three-generation community, five-of-a-kind cat house.

The entire basement is illuminated only by the only patio, so we changed the location of the stairs to the center of the dark area farther from the light well, and the stairwell was as large as possible without affecting the normal habitation of the first floor, in order to better improve the lighting ventilation of the basement.

The basement and the entrance to the first floor are the stairs that have been converted, and the detailed design of the ceiling and the shape of the stairs have better added to the ritual fun and fun of this vertical transport. The original stairwell was not sealed, but covered with a wooden grate on the first floor as a ventilation well. This wooden grill box is also a large bench for sitting and lying down. The basement patio is a traditional Japanese tatami and a snow window. Snow window consists of cypress and barrier paper, and the window fan of the snow window can be moved up and down and left to form a variety of frame views between indoors and out. Light enters the space through the patio and casts a charming pattern through the snow-covered windows, and the warm and deep tranquil atmosphere immerses both cats and cats.

THE KITCHENETTE ON THE NORTH SIDE HAS A LUSH GREEN VIEW OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, AND SEVERAL LARGE GLASS SLIDING DOORS OPEN, AND THE SOUTH-NORTH TRANSPARENCY IS NOT INTERRUPTED. The white and wood base tones create a light, peaceful atmosphere throughout the house. The fitness area is located at the easternmost corner of the basement. Between the fitness area and the living room is a cavernous wall, which is different in size, mapping the bright and dark light scene produced by nature between the two areas. Dads and children often play table tennis here, and this wall also effectively blocks table tennis from flying everywhere. More interestingly, the cats in the house especially like to sit in these burrows and observe the activities of the house in different areas.
