IN THE 20TH CENTURY, THE RATIONAL AESTHETICS PROPOSED BY BAUHAUS ALSO INFLUENCED US TO SOME EXTENT, MINIMIZING FUNCTIONALISM AND SOFTENING THE MECHANICS OF FUNCTIONALISM, EMPHASIZING HUMAN SENSES AND EXPERIENCES AS SPATIAL SUBJECTS. What we're talking about here is the calm, the inhabitants, the space itself, our attitude to design, but the thinking, the rational behavior of the Ike Building towards the city.

Project Background/Background

House C is a private space for the male protagonist who loves automotive culture. The apartment is located in historic Chaozhou, a top-floor apartment with a view of the river, with 270-degree natural views overlooking Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang. The simple living structure and unique natural conditions provide a free foundation for the design work of the project.

Undefined space - Ice & Fire

A motorcycle enthusiast, a hot-blooded youth passionate about motor racing, with a fiery spirit inside and looking remarkably calm. We want the space to be selfish and convey a sense of self. Creating a natural and harmonious relaxing living environment in the city is a retrial of luxury homes, where people in space are the subjects, especially in home spaces. We do not want to make a work that everyone likes, but it is a product that fits the user's heart and it makes sense to exist. A quiet place to live, calm, natural, sunny, a living space that truly belongs to itself.

Openness & Restraint

Open space layout, minimalist aesthetics, large areas of space leave white, showing the tranquility and inclusiveness of the space. The rich white spaces blend together, allowing the atmosphere of life of residents and cars to fill the public part of the space, exuding a kind of self-power. Curb your desires, control your emotions, live richly without indulgence, full of feelings without eagerness, pure in heart, simple life.

Nature & Experience/Natural Experience

The material system is soft and the overall wood texture of beige white art paint and stainless steel combined with a small area of wood texture, while conveying a touch of the temperature of the material itself, the floor is solid and large scale rocks, and natural peace. The bedroom has a solid wood floor that makes the overall sleeping space more warm and delicate. It is an extremely comfortable grip.

Free Plane

In terms of space layout, the functional spaces are interconnected by gray spaces, using the original large balcony steel structure space, combining the center of family exchange with the landscaped balcony, creating a natural comfortable dining space. The gray space connects the living room with the restaurant, the 8 meter scale effectively adds to the quality of the experience, and the waterstone integrated into the walls emphasizes the spatial sense of the space, making each space look very precise in a state of freedom. It is the first sense of entering this field, when the moment we open the door we begin to feel the atmosphere of this space, and the wall art becomes a guiding direction. In the second center we can see the artistic trend in the central glass box of the space - large anti-hulk armor. This glass box is a place that the designer offers the owner his own, to put his favorite items, with strong showmanship and an oath to the owner himself. Sofa area with open study, display cabinet, water bar, racing simulator, tea bar, make up the logic of open space, separated by glass boxes and floor height differences. There is no absolute division between functions, emphasizing the free and easy flow space, allowing the experience to interact and allow people to interact between the various functional areas Generate more interaction. The relationship between the seating area, dressing area, and washroom area in the bedroom space is in a semi-open state, once again emphasizing the open and free living experience.

Ambiguity

Chief designer Shepei-he believes that living environments are more than just residential, but that the office environment is not limited to the office, and the design does not necessarily have to emphasize this attribute. Especially in the current pandemic that mixes our work and home life, space has no defined boundaries and no so-called style is needed, and we should rather explore its future possibilities, which is to strive for the future in the formation of cities, we think that such a process is not a result, but It is necessary to act this way.
