The project is a penthouse duplex on the banks of the Yangtze River with good views and ample sunlight. It is home to a young couple and two adorable children. In this 220 ㎡ freehold residence, the designers completely remodeled the original structure to create a quiet private home that both meets the needs of living and displays an artistic atmosphere.
The composition of a large horizontal hall expands the living room with the terrace of the restaurant and the study, making the interaction between the spaces directly clear. The furniture in wood tones is combined with the walls of milk coffee, showing a gentle expression of life. The restaurant and the water bar space are combined. Cabinets separate the dining room and the study, and the white steel sculptures in the silent columns give the dining environment a touch of contemporary art.
Combining the original balcony space, the restaurant and living room can be so open. In the background of the TV, there is a load-bearing wall, and Hone has designed a tall wooden cabinet for storage. The elevation mechanism is enriched while increasing storage space.
The entrance door, kitchen, and van are arranged in one word, and the extremely narrow frame glass sliding doors enable the opening transformation of the space. Move the door rail pre-buried to the inside of the ceiling, trying to tidy up the space. A small washing machine is located in the laundry area of the attendant, and the washbasin is a display cabinet for toiletries facing the top of the wall. Clean and tidy living space comes from ample reasonable storage.
White steel stair railing, the atmosphere corresponds to the sculpture of the restaurant. Represents the atmosphere of a snowy mountain on Lake Begal. The entrance of the staircase originally had a raised column, which was designed in a sloping and twisting shape, creating a ceremonial feeling of the upper floor.
This project uses the light shadow of a flat geometric block face to fold space in many places, allowing residents to experience conscious spatial deformation.
The original balcony on the second floor opens up so that the master bedroom can be exposed to direct sunlight, opening up the space while also opening the mind. The wood grain grid bed background carves out the delicate side of the space. A black lacquer art stand above the custom bedside cabinet combines function and beauty.
