Located in Shanghai's Jing'an District, this 38-storey French midcentury residence is a three-door long-term living space. Homeowners care not only about the quality of living, but also about the environment for their children to grow. In order to create a home that meets the needs of the family and meets the aesthetics of life, the owners invited the Shanghai Iconia Interior Design team to redesign it, combining modern comfort and practicality with a base of French and classical elegance. Every detail in the design exudes the warmth and emotion of life.
As a first impression of the house, the designers transformed the narrow and dim aisles, expanding the space and introducing natural light to make the overall atmosphere brighter and more open. The passageway between the restaurant and the restaurant allows light to pass freely, forming a “sunshine trail” that leads family and visitors into the heart of the home.
This path of light intersecting light is not only a physical conduit, but a guide to emotion and belonging.
The restaurant and kitchen break the traditional separation and blend together to create a greater sense of openness. The designer uses a classic French medieval arched structure to divide the space both clearly and fluidly, adding a touch of softness and elegance.
Whether it's a family gathering or hosting guests, this area feels the warmth and comfort of life.
As the heart of family activities, the living room is based on the French medieval style, creating a space that combines functionality and beauty. The water bar counter and fireplace become a visual highlight, satisfying the daily needs of homeowners and adding a touch of elegance to the living room.
Every afternoon here, the sun shines, and you can sit on the sofa with tea or read and experience the delights of a leisurely life.
The master bedroom features soft beige white as the main color, and the walls with delicate wood finishes create a warm atmosphere of relaxation. With simple lines and soft lighting, the designer gives the space a sense of calm, making it the perfect place for your family to relax every night.
Every morning, the first ray of sunshine enters the bedroom and makes you feel full of happiness and belonging.
Homeowners' children are especially fond of pink, and the designers have created a dream paradise for the children using the pink ceiling as the theme. This room is not only a space for children to grow, but also holds many childhood stories and dreams.
This is a happy place for children to grow up, but also a happy memory for family members.
Homeowners specifically requested the inclusion of a bath function in the bathroom design, so the designers chose a medium-sized bathtub, which does not take up space and meets the needs of relaxation. The suspended washbasin design makes the space more flexible, and the drawers below enhance the storage function, creating an orderly use environment.
Whether it's a fresh wash in the morning or a relaxing bath in the evening, this bathroom is full of healing.
This 38-storey French Midcentury residence demonstrates how design responds to living needs and blends functionality with beauty perfectly. From the sunny paths of the garden to the cozy tranquility of the bedroom, every detail reveals the love and passion for home.
If you also want to add a touch of history and modern comfort to your home, consider this case to make your home more than just a place to live, but also a warm living space.
