Located at 30 degrees north latitude, Chengdu is known to the world as a place of “peace of mind,” “happiness,” and “inclusion.” No matter how fast it is, no matter how fast it is, how fashionable it is, the city is “know how to relax”. Because of this regional culture, Chengdu's homes, despite the variety of different faces of the people, are always based on a “nothing can be done” lifestyle. Inspired by such an optimistic spirit, the designer created a private house for the owner in Chengdu Xiamen.

The community of private residences is all in the form of single-family villas, English-style buildings, 0.1 ultra-low density, 70% green space, and are called “Forbes-class” mansions. Mr. X's house is built over 500m², has a private yard, a young man lives in three quarters and is next door to another detached house of his parents.

In the eyes of designers, a building is not just a house, it is everything to do with architecture. The interior and exterior, the light, the humidity, the furniture, the moment at some point in time, a book... these are all architectural languages that designers try to connect, live, about feeling.

Architecture is not just architecture.

As Socrates said, a house in which your mind moves is almost impossible to build. The emotions of space must be worn down by people and time, nourishing each other. But designers care about beauty, inspiration, peace, tranquility, privacy, these words of emotion. Form, function, aesthetics, and art are all driven by emotional events.

The whole house is divided into two upper and lower floors. The lower level is a complex activity area, with a restaurant, leisure area, garden... as a “public” area, meeting and social needs of most families. The upper level is a quiet area, with a study room, bedroom, children's play area, focusing on private emotional interaction.

Educated, knowledgeable and discerning, the young male and female owners are averse to boring and luxurious decorum. In the material-rich era, beautiful is too easy to get, and it is difficult for the eyes to enjoy, and the mind and mental state are light. Therefore, designers do not insist on creating a burden and do not strictly follow a certain style.

Unintentional harmony

Light rice coffee, designers use it as the basis for the whole house. It is a soft color kissed by the sun and has a natural, intimate, yet easily overlooked quality. This underpinning of low saturation, low presence is the design that designers intended: to weaken the expression of some buildings and to accentuate people's sense of existence.

Boundaries are getting blurry

Starting with the login, one layer of space extends from the left to the right of each functional space at 180℃. The suspended stone wall ceiling cabinet and the fireplace, which symbolizes fireworks below, are shared by the living room and dining kitchen. The passage around the stone wall allows the entrance, dining room and living area to be interconnected, but not completely continuous.

Immersive Dramatic Experience

A building, once created, remains in shape for a long time and is capable of generating emotion, precisely because of the elements that come from change. As a result, after the big axe on the roof, the designers also made some uncertain, uninteresting details of the “extreme heart machine”. THE TOP AND BOTTOM WALLS ARE PAINTED IN TWO TEXTURES, THE UNDERNEATH IS A NATURAL TEXTURE TO THE TOUCH, AND THE TOP IS THE ADDITION OF FINE SPARKLING PARTICLES IN THE SAME COLOR PAINT. It is like a gorgeous canvas, a gift for the creation of nature.

Echoing the feeling of “living together”

The second floor is a relaxing and more private interaction area for the owners. FROM TRADITIONAL SQUARES TO SEMI-ELLIPSES, THE REDESIGN OF THE STAIRCASE MAKES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE BUILDING AND THE BOTTOM OF THE BUILDING SOFTLY POETIC. The metal frame of the stairs is painted in the same color as the base of the whole house, and outdoor tree and light favorites stop and stroll here, getting used to the idea that the usual circular life is lost here for a while. Private home design focuses more on self-expression, rather than the deliberate expression of lust. Design is more born of the “I” destiny, freedom, sexuality, freshness, purity...
