A cozy harbor by the sea

The construction site is located on the west coast of Qingdao City, close to Tangdao Bay. Overlooking the seafront of the Saikai Art Museum. This inland bay is a natural haven, with two lighthouses on the island indicating the direction of past fishing boats. The rustic home is a warm haven for the family to shelter from the rain.

Designers use lighting to divide public and private areas (relative). The lighting from the TV background extends to the cupboards, while softly “dividing” the space with different usage attributes, meeting owners' expectations for a more spacious use of the larger space in the district.

East Linked Stone, with a view of the sea

To create a soft, calm and relaxed atmosphere, the space is made of wood and beige colors, with a rustic nature. Floor-standing glass windows blend indoors and outdoors, allowing plenty of natural light to flow throughout the space during the day. To express the boundaries of the interior and exterior, the designers chose a beige and white window frame system in the same color as the walls, weakening the traditional concept of “frame”.


Three meals, four seasons, great people

For work reasons, the owner and wife cannot often accompany their children to meals at home. “Home” is not an object, but a combination of a relationship and an “event” experienced together with family. Designers look forward to creating a memorable dining space for the owner with a more ceremonial feel at mealtime. Lower the ceiling pressure of the restaurant to enhance the wrapping feel. The design of the restaurant is a metaphorical expression of my family and personal relationships, as there is a wonderful balance in the shape of a circle on the sides. The passage is narrower, and the designer has installed three wall lights at the end of the channel, adding a little fun to the functional corridor. The toilet area of the Guard belongs to the communal area, and after meeting the housing needs, the designers tried to open the enclosed space and create more spatial scenes for families to communicate and interact.

Light by Light

We were born of light and made the world in different spaces. Using a variety of windows of different shapes to shape the “light” designer recombed the air conditioning exterior platform in the master bedroom into a “window in the window”. The small window sill will set up the master's favorite microview, adding a fun touch to the bedroom.
