Draw Closer to the Mind
The warmth and warmth of life depends not on the scale and color of the space, but on the proximity of the family. —— Zhang Qifeng
Ningbo, the heart of the new metropolis of the East Port City, is a 1500 square meter urban well-being, quietly located in the greenery of the waterfront park. THE FEN+ DESIGN TEAM DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM BASHLA'S PHILOSOPHY OF HOME, DRAWING ON THE URBAN DWELLINGS OF FAMILY LIFE, USING EVERYDAY CLUES, EMOTIONALLY AND EXPRESSES THE WARMTH AND POETRY OF HOME. The complex layout of 3 floors on the ground and 1 floor below is comfortable in the appearance of a modernist building in the T font. In order to facilitate family and family gatherings and improve the comfort of living, the designers moved the zoning, expanded the functions and area of the event area, making partial adjustments to the prototype.
First, the original basement pool was transformed into a family activity space such as a video room, a reading room, a lounge and a gym; and then a basement staircase to the garage was removed. In addition to better arranging the location of the nanny and laundry, the enclosed underground garage was transformed into a separate toilet. A view teahouse with double-sided floor-to-ceiling windows. The activity area occupies one floor and the ground floor has almost 800 square meters of indoor space and 300 square meters of garden. The design intends to open up the space and warm interaction of family life around the axis of life.
Large areas of floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors blur the boundaries of space, eliminating barriers between indoors and outdoors; open spaces and natural creaminess envelop a free and warm outerwear for life. Thanks to abundant natural lighting and a yard landscape that changes through the seasons, concise design language also brings a rich spatial experience. In this home, the arrangement of furniture and accessories comes not only from aesthetics and inspiration, but also from the designer's observation and understanding of the owner's home life. The number and shape of the sofa seats, the size and location of the tables and edges, are all based on the number of members of this family and the state of the party.
The rich functional spaces on the first floor and the ground floor draw the contours of a comfortable life with the touch of real space: chatting, drinking tea, dining, wine tasting, flower viewing, reading, watching movies, exercising, wellness... The open layout makes this home a space of freedom and comfort. Entering the entrance from the ground floor, behind the entrance gate is a view of transparent glass on one side, and a cozy elm tree protrudes from the atrium, representing the change of the seasonal landscape. And the view through the atrium can be extended all the way to the north garden and the walls.
The restaurant's three-sided floor-to-ceiling windows allow the sun to flow freely, and the space leaps to the rhythm of nature in this change of shade. Open spaces open people's horizons of connection, family members can take care of each other, a sense of security is always maintained between elders and children, and the temperature of a home naturally rises. The one-story restaurant enjoys a large north-western garden with a wide view and an adjoining kitchen, which is comfortably sized. Under the light cube chandelier, there is a round dining table that can comfortably accommodate 12 people, meeting the dining needs of family brothers and elders. A separate island in the restaurant is not only a place for breakfast, but also for children's tables during family banquets.
The marble texture of the staircase steps is consistent with the ground, continuing the basic tone of the space. The black armrests draw hard and stylish lines, and raindrop-style chandeliers run through the four-story space, guiding you to different levels. Overlooking your own courtyard from the floor, the waves of the east foyer flow to the wonderful melody of nature, while the fluctuating water surface reflects the turquoise and blue sky. In the inner garden, cherry blossoms dance with the wind and blow the tenderness of a tree. The three-story master bedroom suite offers views of the city, both south and north, on its own. Of course, the terrace on the south side is the owner's private space, while the large terrace on the north side is a place for an open-air party during a party. The suite near the stairs is designed with a separate study and living area, which can serve as an overuse area for the quiescent zone.
Open the bedroom door, first to separate the bathroom and dressing room from the south to the north, and then go inside. The bedroom area chooses a neutral gray finish and fabric, conveying a calm, relaxing and warm atmosphere.
On the second floor there are three suites: a son's room, a daughter's room and a room. The living area outside the room can be flexibly changed, and it can be arranged as a place for children to stay when visiting family gatherings.
In life, as long as family members can be together, that kind of happiness and happiness is not measured by the size of the room, all that matters is the distance between each other's hearts and minds.
Designers believe that a home is essentially about bringing families together, as “we are in the house and the house is within us.”
