Since childhood, we have felt the conflict between ourselves and the world, the rupture between ourselves and everything in the universe, we yearned to return to full health, and so imagined a way of protecting ourselves against the “infinite”. Where windows are our eyes, walls and ceilings are the source of our sense of security, furniture and decoration are our beliefs and fantasies. They are our most personalized art.

The entrance shoulder plays the role of introducing subsequent spaces, and it determines the entrant's first impression of the entire internal space. It is obviously a turning point physically, but it is also psychological, and it will introduce people to memories of indoor and outdoor environments, and psychological expectations based on this memory. Therefore, the entry has its significance psychologically.

The design from the inside out and the design from the inside out creates the necessary tension to make the entrance more attractive. Outside of the flat space where people usually move, the pulling force generated by the upper and lower parts of the space is present at the longitudinal poles of the dwelling. It is precisely the pull of the stairs and the upward and downward changes in space that allow our imagination to go. When upstairs or downstairs, the resulting change of view moves away from the usual horizontal level.

As we walk towards the top. The surrounding interior landscape changes as well, with different things coming into our focus, while the things below gradually fade away. Our relationship with the residents is also changing, and you will look at them from a new angle, such as the pleats of skirts, the tops of people's heads. Similarly, when someone stands on a certain floor and watches us go up and down the stairs, they see a similar screen. The staircase at this time was a wonderful theater, and most of the time, our designers were more inclined to give the dramatic grandeur of the staircase design.
The smaller space makes you feel comfortable and cozy, like a bird lying in a nest. In the relationship between people and spatial scales, the factor that people first consider is themselves, first hinting to themselves, what volume should be for this functional zone, the body's sensory feedback to the brain, it seems that it should be, then that it should be, but whether this is also the bias of our body. “Only in the wilderness is a cat like a cat” The open indoor space is like a wide outdoor environment, liberating both the body and the emotions.

Today, modernism and decorationism seem to be on the opposite side, and many designers who are good at modernism also seem to stand opposite decorationism, thinking that decorative design is complex, cumbersome, and meaningless. It seems that the development of design civilization coincides with the popularity of decoration, as eighty percent of prisoners in prison have tattoos. But decorative elements can be seen even in the works of many modernist masters.

When we decide to set a focus in a space, such as a fireplace or a cluster of lights, the surrounding space and the isolates are in a pleasant free arrangement, but people's attention is always drawn back to this focus. If I make your home design very practical, you will thank me, just as you would a railway engineer or a rental driver. Then, and that's all, I didn't impress you from the inside. This project is located in Shanghuai Pintyue Prefecture, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. The interior design area is 140 square meters. The project was completed in March 2021.
