Lake View Villa Vertes Retreat Lake Sakino, Canada
Located 30 feet above Lake Sakino, Canada, Vertes Retreat is a luxury vacation home built specifically for homes of four. This 380 ㎡ villa was designed by WOVEN Architecture and the landscape was designed by Houston Landscapes, with an L-shaped layout overall that easily blends into the rocky environment. The two side wings of the villa are flat-roofed, with the roof protruding over the wraparound terrace with outdoor living area. Indoors, bright monochrome decor, cool concrete floors and warm wooden ceilings make up a clean, spacious living area. Floor-standing windows and glass doors add natural light and spectacular views to the interior.
Shared materials and horizontal transitions eliminate barriers between internal and external living spaces to encourage a connection between living and nature. A roofed outdoor living space means spectacular surroundings can be enjoyed in any weather. Outdoor sofas and chairs surround the fire pit on the terrace to expel the cold air. A small side table dotted around allows drinks and snacks to be placed at your fingertips.
In the luxurious holiday home, simple decorative tones composed of gray concrete, fresh white cabinets and bold black elements create an atmosphere of spacious ventilation. The cozy living room is dominated by striking black steel fireplace walls, framed and enhanced by the brightness of orange flames. Large area rugs blend subtle colors into the living room plan. A huge black-framed window with a stunning rock landscape looks like a framed painting. A custom window seat is installed along the windowsill to make the most of the stunning views.
Slim linear pendant lights span most of the central kitchen Nakajima area without compromising the simplicity of the simple white kitchen design. The modern kitchen bar stools are arranged along the side of the island table, forming a casual dining space where families or their guests can chat with the designated chef. The outdoor kitchen and dining area expands the opportunity to interact with nature on the beautiful sunny coast. Above them, the skylight starting from the interior of the living room extends to the wooden hanging on the terrace, forming a continuous line.
