Commissioned by a young family to transform two wooden cottages in the Dutch countryside into a modern residence away from noisy city life. Inspired by the tranquil countryside landscape, the designers of Studio Asker in Amsterdam have created a minimalist yet soulful retreat. The building is surrounded by a swimming pool overlooking the woodlands, and the idyllic rural setting is the epitome of tranquility and tranquility, which explains why the Dutch painter and sculptor W. G. Van der Hulst chose this place to build his studio as early as 1964. Reimagined as a contemporary Scandinavian chalet, Van der Huslt's former residence is the perfect weekend getaway to escape city life and reconnect with nature.

FROM FLOORS, WALLS AND CEILINGS TO DOORS AND WINDOWS AND FURNITURE, NATURAL WOOD FINISHES DOMINATE THE INTERIOR DECORATION, WHILE NATURAL STONE AND LIMESTONE PAINT FINISHES PROVIDE BALANCE. Combining the minimalist design language of concise lines, simple forms and soft tones, large patio doors and open layout of the common area, the house feels lightly ventilated yet warm and cozy.
