This 65 ㎡ apartment, designed by ater.architects for a young family with children, features an open living area with kitchen dining space, a cozy hallway, two bathrooms and a private sleeping area. Bright white surfaces, bold decorations, and simple shapes create a graphic, eye-catching aesthetic. The green and pink interior design features custom bookcases, a chic black and wood tone kitchen and practical dining island table, a unique orange hallway (with signature skylight), a serene bedroom decor concept, and a vibrant bathroom (complete with graphic tile and grout treatment).
Black and white rugs with bold grid patterns define real-time graphic beauty in a pure living space. A striking carpet falls on a bright white floor, effectively enhancing the light of a small apartment. The built-in bookcase introduces playful pink elements to the living room decor scheme. The light pink shelving unit contrasts sharply with the dark green combination sofa, and the sofa forms a comfortable L-shape in front. The open-plan living space features a spacious kitchen with a central kitchen in Nakajima. Stylish black kitchen units go well with linear black living room rugs.
This chic medieval modern chair is a “Wassily” armchair designed by Marcel Breuer. Iconic armchairs with simple floor lamps from the 1920s and 80s create a stylish reading area. The black bar stool on the island table can accommodate up to three people. Floor-standing windows fill the black kitchen design with sunlight, creating a ventilated and cozy atmosphere, perfect for preparing meals and enjoying moments of connection. The bedroom uses intense colors to create a serene look that helps rest and relax. A black soft mattress, a black wall lamp and a matching black bedside cabinet dot the pure white periphery. Glass vases with grooves add texture and light.
The bedroom's only burst of color comes from a piece of modern art, paired with a simple black bedroom chair and a low-key wooden side table. A long gray curtain hangs on the bedroom window, adding to the sense of scale. Both bathrooms in the apartment are finished with graphic tiles made of orange cement mortar. Colored cement forms a linear pattern between white backsplash tiles, pink countertops, and contrasting black bathtub tiles. Large bathroom mirror with orange gradient coating is designed specifically for this bathroom scheme.
