Design | 60 Floor, Xiamen Residential - Spring Autumn

This project is located on the waterfront of the Xiamen Reservoir Lake. The exterior environment, air and landscape of the community itself are very comfortable. The homeowner is a newly married couple of 95 international students who have just ended a two-year transnational expat relationship. Therefore, more communication with the family and a wider view of living is the design direction we focus on. The original structure did not allow the designer to make a big change in the plan, only turning the four rooms that were previously occupied into a comfortable three-bedroom suite with a master bedroom suite with a coat closet toilet.

The main layout was transformed in the interior transport line and the corridor section leading to the various rooms, and the kitchen and restaurant were integrated according to the homeowner's requirements. In addition, the designer incorporated the elevated balcony into the common living area, naturally transitioning the balcony to the living room in the form of curves. The materials dominate the space with medium saturation and contrast of oak and microcement, paying homage to the elements of “wood” and “earth” in traditional dwellings. Overall micro-cement system, delicate, bare, original, breathable. The egg-shaped ceiling at the top is a hand-painted shape with a unique shape that gives the space spirituality.
