In the green glass forest, the new and the old coexist here, interpreting the new in design on the old shell. The case is located in an old community in Suzhou Park, facing the bustling commercial area of Jinji Lake, while retaining the old green glass windows, which make the area look like a quiet forest, revealing the traces of the years. One of the reasons homeowners chose here is that the living room can directly overlook the Ferris wheel, which becomes an important starting point for subsequent design. Step into the space and feel the leather chairs, the metal lamps, the fireplace... The objects of different materials and sensations are invisibly intertwined in the space, revealing the charm of modernity and avant-garde, illuminating the entire space like works of art. The fireplace radiates a warm glow, creating a pleasant living atmosphere.

The warmth of the wood finish neutralizes the cool and hard lines of minimalism, leaving the space full of natural comfort. The fireplace combines the continuous effect of separating space and maintaining continuity, allowing the noise of the outside to temporarily fade into this space. The original living room and balcony were fragmented by the presence of beams and load-bearing walls, and despite reintegrating the look of the area, it still lacks an element capable of connecting the two.

To embody the idea of the living scene, design the sofa as a modular structure with wall corners, so that its functions extend from the living room to the balcony. This sofa is a bridge that connects the two spaces and turns the wall separating the living room and the study into a partition screen, protecting the privacy between the living room and the study. A spacious and free living room, behind the sofa is a study and an office area. When video conferencing comes in time, you can choose to take place in the study room or go to the balcony facing the Ferris wheel to enjoy the fun of your office, fully meeting the normalizing needs of home office and video conferencing.

Underpinned by a burgeoning and aging visual conflict, the material treatment in space continues this theme as well. The walls are made of stucco, which not only enhances the period feel of the space, but also incorporates a touch of original rustic beauty. The choice of stone is also very unique, with its almost original texture forming an interesting contrast to the overall design. A subtle and rich space is built through the careful handling of the materials and the combination of the avant-garde and the modern. A relaxed sensory experience is not just a redefinition of space, but an exploration and presentation of a way of life.
