A lively scene at the wholesale market of fruits and vegetables from 1 to 5 in the morning. When people are asleep, the owner of the house is busy in the market, turning the clock upside down every day, having a tasty life, soaked in sincere human fireworks. An “inner” word (which means “home” in Chaoshan dialect) can calm this busy family down, let the busy back be full of laughter, the moment you open the door and shut yourself out of the door. And we want to create a healing harbor with a loving and warm home.

02/ Restrained “Mediocrity” Restrained “Mediocrity”
The original appearance of the villa is due to the construction of sandstone materials, coupled with the lack of long-term maintenance, which makes maintenance difficult in the later stages. Taking into account the limitations of the variety of conditions, we modified the decorative lines and colors of the exterior of the building. To some extent, the constraints of the transformation offer different opportunities, and design has become a way to create new landscapes and explore spaces, making the overall concise and bright, more contemporary.

Located in the Linhai Villas area of Shantou, China Sea Gold Coast Villas is about half an hour's drive from the city center. This half hour is a container to end the busy morning, return to the harbor, and rest your mind. Life itself resides in a container of time, and the atmosphere of life is our play with time. Against such a background, how to build a suitable habitation is central to our attention. Unrestrained comfort, a unique “mediocrity” is what we want to create.

At home, floor-to-ceiling windows face the garden, allowing natural light to enter, drawing the residents' vision into the outdoor garden. Open living and dining spaces blend with nature to create imaginative canvases that bring residents closer to the space.

The clean Italian slate floor with the natural rustic stones on the walls, the French Roche Bobois leather sofa and the soft silhouette of the wood finish resonate with the natural landscape, which contains the vivid colors of the space that express the inky colors of the space and feel safe and secure.

The sofa area and restaurant space emphasize the sense of home's closeness and intimacy between family and family. The restaurant entrance is designed with a revolving door, and the villa as a whole uses large-area glass in place of the original windows, allowing each space to see a green view, making the visuals more transparent and aesthetically pleasing, but also a unique space experience.

A negative layer of light ventilation is an important point in the design. Thanks to the roof window remodeling, the large area has increased the level of negative luminosity and ventilation, while the convection of air effectively solves the problem of damp in the basement of the villa.

Defines the stairs that connect each level of the space to be the “core of the project”. Here, the clean gray slate floor, the rustic natural stone, the wood texture and the natural sun meet; it is a harmonious natural atmosphere that is constantly emphasized in our design. We hope that time can slow down in this home, feel comfortable and create a pure and serene spiritual enjoyment.

We have effectively designed lighting in different directions of space, with different seasons, at different times, allowing sunlight to penetrate into the interior through different gaps in the building; scattering splashes of sunlight indoors, trying to keep the sun sloping from your fingers.

“Tea drinking” is the most characteristic lifestyle of Chaoshan people and the most respectful way of treating guests, so the tea room is the living room of Chaoshan people. The combination of exquisite textures and landscapes, a concise sense of space promotes people-to-people communication. A large area of floor glass gives an unobstructed view of the exterior view. The interior tries to harmoniously blend the interior and exterior, further bringing the view closer to the house and visually forming a connection with the landscape.

The bedroom is designed to balance the combination of openness and privacy, sun and shade. The space is composed of conciseness and order and tranquility, the open living space and the silence of the bedroom form a restrained comfort.

Busy, bustle, and hustle are far behind, and designers use a series of sophisticated and unpretentious design elements to create the perfect home for free conversation, temporarily freeing residents from the hustle and bustle of the city.
