Designed by Giuliano Marchiorato Arquitetos, this Brazilian top-floor duplex has everything you'd ask for in a city center: plenty of sunshine, the incredible greenery of Barigi Park, and a captivating view of the city's skyline. The client is a young newlywed couple whose dream is about to come true when the building is delivered. They yearn for a modern apartment that both perfectly accommodates all the daily affairs of contemporary city life, but also incorporates elements of art and design. The male owner is a diversified entrepreneur focused on urban innovation projects, a leather parts designer, and she also owns a major leather factory in Brazil.
Giuliano Marchiorato's design approach is to create a layout that simplifies and coordinates the use of a small number of materials for design: freijó wood, natural stone and leather, etc. Based on these, the application finishes and secondary elements that determine the design rhythm are defined. Thus, getting rid of excessive decoration, creates a complex harmony between the external frame and the internal space.
