Yang Yoo Dang is a small hanok house located in the Hanok Village of Hutongli, between Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, Korea, between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeok Palace. The owner wants this place close to the tourist destination to serve as a space for open spaces and various activities for anyone, rather than a closed living space. When a family first moved into Hanok, they underwent a major renovation, a house with family memories for a long time, so they considered reliving it as a multicultural space without destroying the atmosphere of the existing Koreatown.

In order to visually connect and expand the gates, courtyards, and the main exhibition space to welcome visitors through a narrow alley for the first time, a granite outcrop known as Oskawa Stone was planned from the center of the exhibition space to the interior, making the interior and exterior space appear more spacious. Covered with decaying granite soil and difficult to manage, the atrium is now open to outdoor exhibitions and lectures through its extensive paving of ochawa-stone finishes. In addition, the small backyard behind Daesomaru took advantage of Hanok's front and rear opening, organized housekeeping services and redesigned the landscape design.

Due to the separation of the walls of each compartment, the seemingly smaller non-bearing walls are removed, keeping them to a minimum. In particular, it is planned to demolish the entire loft and ceiling finishes of the center, as the main space, repair the hidden roof timbers, and transform as much as possible into an open exhibition space, with floors arranged for the natural flow of steps in each compartment. The house looks small and the kitchen is exposed as you enter the front door, but here it is transformed into a hidden space in front of the room, inside which there is a small toilet and laundry, which can open the whole structure. The main room of the courtyard can be seen being used as a concept exhibition hall, and various amenities are available for guests to stay in using the closets. In addition, the interior design of Hanok's signature sized closet was changed to be used as exhibition and command space, instead of lockers for home use.

The sign of Yang Yoo Dang, like its name, is designed to give people a concise feeling of nature. The colors try to express the natural colors of Yang Yoo Dang. The color of the roof tile represents the roof, the Korean paper color of the wallpaper, the wood color of the Korean house skeleton, and the red color of the maple tree located in the yard is used as the brand color so it can be used for various purposes.
