VVV is a minimalist townhouse in Klaipeda, designed by i.B Archstudio. In this compact townhouse, the challenge is to integrate all the basic features while maintaining a spacious living area. To achieve this, the traditional walls were dismantled and a versatile custom furniture was introduced, dividing the space into different functional areas rather than completely enclosing them. This furniture unit can be accessed and used from three sides. The rest of the ground floor space serves as a combination of living and dining areas, with two functional wall objects that blend seamlessly into the room while providing the necessary storage space.
The design matches the color of the walls, creating a harmonious interaction of compositions, geometric shapes and shadows in the space. On the second floor, three bedrooms and a bathroom characterized by a high sloping ceiling. Similar to the first floor, this layer maintains uniformity by avoiding strong contrasts of textures or materials. Instead, the focus is on fine details and the combination of warm shades of light gray with yellow and orange brings freshness to the space.
