House in the City Center is a simple residence in Valencia, Spain, designed by NOS Arquitectura. This renovation was initiated due to the outdated layout of the original house and was designed to meet the modern needs of the owners. The redesign introduced a more open layout by reducing unnecessary separation. Once inside, walk straight into the kitchen, seamlessly connecting the daytime living area with the more private nighttime space. This strategic layout brings the kitchen into focus and the design is both practical and visually impactful. The center of the kitchen is an island table, designed as a whole block of stone with an integrated cooking zone, the selected material emphasizes this feature and enhances the mobility of the whole family.

Delving deep into the interior of the house, the design reveals thoughtful details and spaces that add depth to the living experience. On the sides of the corridor are a patio and grid system that adjusts the light and ensures privacy, guiding the activities inside the room. At the end of the path is an office space bathed in the light of a large window and with a bench that spans the entire length, creating a space for contemplation. THIS AREA TRANSITIONS TO THE MOST SECLUDED PART OF THE HOME — A SMALL TERRACE CONNECTED TO THE LIVING ROOM WHERE YOU CAN ENJOY THE EVENING LIGHT AND TRANQUIL VIEWS OF THE COURTYARD. Here, elements of the original structure are exposed, such as walls and ceilings, adding to the historical background.
