At the beginning of the project, the architectural design studio was thinking about the root problem of residential design, and the relationship between the hairdresser and the space, hoping to make the space more fluid and more intimate. Give design imagination and empowerment by studying basic forms in nature. As a conceptual evolution of this project, the design team extended the physics model of this smallest particle to the design modification of the project. Abstract extraction of the structural forms of atoms to form translations in space and plane. The pure truth of the physical form of matter is meant to manifest itself in the physical form.

Preliminary analysis
Analisi del sito

Homeowners are three-way houses, with high requirements for hygiene and storage conditions for living life, in the form of which they strive for conciseness and preservation of the totality of space. With an area of 188 square meters, the “moving and still zone” was divided into the original structure. After the dismantling of the kitchen wall partition, the common area is presented as a complete volume of open space. There should also be more possibilities with such an open large house-style design. The remodeled plan still retains the basic three-room layout, but the design team recombed the spatial organization of the common area and the structural relationships of the different rooms, giving the original single “square body” a progressively changing spatial sequence, while focusing on spatial architecture, creating connectivity through the form-driven function Tied dependencies give people a very rich spatial experience in the process.

Curved Shadow Wall
Arc Screen Wall

The first vision of entering the entrance is on the curved wall between the entrance gate and the restaurant. The curtain wall is set up in two directions of “going to the light”. The left entrance leads to the active lines that line the entire space, directly to the living area adjacent to the balcony. The cable on the right connects the open kitchen to another light outlet located in the laundry area. The third loop between the two lines forms a third loop of movement around the restaurant area behind the screen, bringing openness to the space. The masking function of the curved wall ensures the secrecy of the interior space on the one hand and cushions the subsequent spatial narrative on the other. The small distance between the curtain wall and the entrance gate introduces lighting into a relatively independent border space. The entrance gate area provides a very strong storage space, while a curved element is embedded in a white shoe changing area that combines. The right hand wire connects the kitchen, opens an opening through the top cabinet, provides an area for placing food after the door, creating an interaction between the kitchen and the entrance gate.

Rotating Restaurant
Revolving Dining Room

The restaurant makes a bold refinement and outline of the spatial pattern through clear color boundaries and the construction of color block masses. Streamlines extend from the window to the interior, rotate around the restaurant to make the space more active, the momentum intensifies, and the flowing ceiling of the living room bar space forms a change of rhythm. Functional content is preserved in a highly simplified form, and the use of cold colors and geometric insertions together give the restaurant a visual sense of an art gallery. White tables and chairs and lamps become the art collection in the “exhibition hall”, the form and color correspond to the environment. From the living room in the past, the streamlines introduced by the sky overlap with the horizontal borders. Adequate storage walls and dining cabinets solve a family's storage problem. The three antique chairs in the scene have a certain collection value, namely No.4860 Universale

Center Stage
Center Stage

Fusing the bar counter and piano into a central stage, the overall organization of space expands around the stage, the stage acting as the core of the flow movement that drives the spatial form, just as the “atomic nucleus” of space connects the functional divisions. The four functional areas of the entrance gate, restaurant, stage, and living room are distributed sequentially in the direction of the north light source. The light affects the transition between the four levels of space, creating a progressive rhythm of space from the entrance to the interior of the house. Streamlines intersect in the central space, and the stage also forms the core visual focus of the entire space.

Mobile Living Room
Dynamic Livingrum

Streamline ceilings extend from the balcony to the corridor, with a gray and white color distinction to emphasize the formative trajectory of the streamline. At the same time as the color separation of the plane is extended into a three-dimensional division of space, the shape of the ground color space corresponds to the color form of the ceiling, and the gray mass that corresponds to the composition extends to the inner corridor. Standing at the endpoint overlooking the living room, a continuous streamlined ceiling marks the borders of the spatial landscape, and the gray ceiling extends to the corridor entrance next door, directing the spatial movement to the interior.

Apart from the formal construction of the space, the use of furniture items is kept to a minimum. The sofa set is chosen by Italian designer Vincenzo De Cotiis, this TACTILE banana boat sofa designed for Baxter in 2014. The sofa uses the form and extensibility of the line to harmonize harmoniously with the space. The TV wall is designed with a floor and floor storage system that maximizes the space.

Illuminated entrance
Introduce Light into the Apartment Interior

The participation of light is the prerequisite for space to be represented in our vision as “space”. The design team wants natural light to reach every corner of the space as much as possible. The gray latex ceiling and floor covering extend to the end of the corridor, and the three-sided strip of lights creates a futuristic feel for the science fiction tunnel.

The excessive space of the former corridor as a public area and a private area was wrapped in the center of the entire spatial structure, appearing to close the narrow constrictions. THE DESIGN TEAM ALIGNED THE LOCATION OF THE ORIGINAL STUDY WITH THE SECOND BEDROOM TO OPEN THE VIEW, ALLOWING NATURAL LIGHT FROM THE NORTH SIDE TO THE CORRIDOR, THEN PASSING IT TO THE MAIN BATHROOM ON THE SOUTH SIDE. The main bedroom entrance is located relative to the corridor entrance, and when the door to the bedroom is opened, the corridor will receive natural light in the third direction.

By extending the width of the corridor to the study, the use of ultra-white glass as a partition between the study room and the corridor ensures transparency. Dividing the guest toilet into two areas of the toilet and shower room are arranged separately on both sides of the corridor, thus achieving dry and wet separation of the guards. The opening of the blinds can flexibly change the closed open state of the study according to the needs of use. The flexible use function also brings rich light changes to the corridor, while effectively protecting the privacy of the study room.

IndependenceLand
Independiente Space

The homeowner's daughter needs an independent place where she can stay in the room for a day. Her daughter has a passion for collecting things like collectibles, anime and more. Three sets of glass door lockers are installed in the second bedroom according to the requirements. The arrangement of the spaced spaces is richly varied and the glass cabinet doors bring a feeling of breathability.

At the same time as meeting the daily sleep of the girl, the implantation of the gray-blue volume defines the functional partition of the learning game. In a subhorizontal small-scale space, the zones are ordered, the color areas are mutually distinct, and the morphologies are interrelated. The other side of the bed is connected to the bay window to form an overall seating area, and a locker is designed under the bay window to provide storage for bedding.

Master Bedroom Storage
Storage in the Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is a room where the male and female owners live, with gray wood flooring on the floor, and the overall room is more concise. To solve the storage problem, a walk-in cloakroom was set up, a ghost door was configured, and the track was hidden inside the door for a minimalistic hovering effect. The inside of the cloakroom has a powerful open storage system, which completely solves the problems of storing the owner's daily life clothes.

The ultimate bathroom
Exquisite Bathroom

The bathroom is divided into three areas: the master bedroom has a bathroom, a private bathroom and a separate bathroom. The bathroom is dry and wet separated, and the dry area uses a wall-mounted toilet and an artificial stone basin, which is extremely seamless. Both the dry and wet areas of the master bedroom have windows, with longbow oil-sand glass to give the bathroom a full glow, while the material itself has a hazy beauty.
