The residence is located in the historical and humanistic city of Hangzhou. Choosing to settle here is a kind of seclusion and self-respecting lifestyle, but the original interior of the old house is presented with our ideal large-diameter courtyard, and the designers carried out a lot of demolition on the original foundation.
The residence is located in Liangzhu, a historical and humanistic area of Hangzhou. Opting to settle here is a life attitude of escaping from the world and focusing on self. However, the original interior decoration is focusing on itself. However, the original interior decoration is a lot of demolition and transformation on the original basis.

As an improved home, the design needs to reflect the quality and artistry of the space in addition to rationally planning the space and functionality. Striving for the natural touch, the integration of the building inside and outside, as well as the core principles of DNA interior design, designers have chosen many natural materials to represent the inclusiveness of the living space, and through two different treatments of rough and delicate materials, allowing for such contradictory differences between distance and affinity. This sense of unfamiliarity is the modern barrier between life and work, and a new attitude to life that is so close to the urban life we are familiar with.

The living room incorporates desk functionality to increase the variety of scenarios in the space, while better focusing family members on this communal activity. For families in the growing phase, it is necessary to ensure sufficient movement of activity to satisfy the child's playfulness, so we did not deliberately place carpets and coffee tables to determine the function of the living room, but rather sofa modules that can be freely divided to meet the changing use of different scenes. After removing the walls of the original balcony, you get an activity area behind the sofa, where you can get closer to nature and the sun, to meet the rest of the afternoon, or to accompany the children to read or play. The demolished beam structure was also kept down and incorporated metal display racks into a decorative structure for the space. The back and side of the sofa have many display partitions for placing books or displays; the use of red natural stone, which contrasts sharply with the blue fabric of the sofa, adds some vitality to the space. Tufty-Time sofas from B&B ITALIA allow you to freely change combinations by removing the connectors at the bottom. THE BEIGE WHITE LIME STONE EXTENDS FROM THE LIVING ROOM TO THE RESTAURANT, RECOMBINING THE TWO SPACES THAT WERE ORIGINALLY SEPARATED BY A CORRIDOR. The contours of stone and wood proceed in an orderly manner, relieving the feeling of visual fatigue.

The hall chandelier is the Enigma 425 from Louis poulsen, which gradually passes the light to the table through different sized rings for a soft indirect illumination. Its designer, Shōichi Uchi, has been committed to creating glare-free indirect lighting fixtures that make objects beautiful and allow people to feel the texture and depth of objects。 Independent entrance gates, different sizes of storage cabinets and separate storage rooms to increase the sustainability of future living. We filled the entire hallway and the interior of the bedroom with black lime stone, originally used for outdoors, as if walking through the woods to a quiet place without people, thus isolating the hustle and bustle behind. The twisting wetsuit area also adds a sense of ceremony to the scene. After the uniformity of the material, the functional transformation of the elevation does not disturb some order.
