Dzen House is a well-designed refuge in their homes for those seeking tranquility and unity with nature and the universe. Its architectural design and intricate details are a tribute to Japanese tradition, and it is characterized by a bare roof, wood covering using Kisuki technology, and a streamlined layout.
One floor consists of a common area for kitchen and living room, with a functional core located in the middle that accommodates stairs, bathrooms and multifunction rooms. This arrangement promotes isolation and connection between the kitchen and the living space. In addition, the circulation around the central core enhances the tightness of the movement while expanding the spaciousness of the senses, injecting a sense of infinity. Inside and out, the first floor shows solid “Mazanka” plaster, reminiscent of traditional Ukrainian country houses. Located next to the house is a picturesque coniferous garden that inspires the panoramic windows of the area that residents often visit. It is worth noting that in the living room, spacious frameless windows from floor to ceiling form a seamless fusion between the interior and the natural environment.
Rising to the second floor, a low attic space is carefully lined with birch plywood, and its exterior is decorated with kissuki wood. This floor has two bedrooms, a study and a quiet space for relaxation and contemplation, with a round window and a soft Italian floor, next to it there is a bathroom and a multifunctional room. The master bedroom is particularly compact, devoting more than half of the space to a baseboard under a spacious frameless window. In addition, it is also a place for tea and contemplation, where rain drops can be seen from the roof of the highest roof through a circular window.
