Freedom is a space experience full of fun
Central City Apartment, Shenzhen
“Open spaces always have a wild growth tension that offers the possibility of more change, a freedom of life that needs to be unintentionally emphasized as long as they are in it.” This is the precise understanding that designers Margie and Xinru understand about “freedom” in the definition of space, which they will interpret as they do in places. A high-rise apartment located in the central area of Shenzhen.
Being the owner of the apartment as an artist and entrepreneur, immersing yourself in art is also quite an achievement in business. In her plan, the apartment should be a flexible space that can meet the needs of the team in this office, as well as a place for team gatherings and leisure for the owners themselves. Therefore, designers have weakened the sense of boundaries of the apartment scene function, under the premise of both relaxation and office needs, creating a free space where you can switch modes at will, just as apartment owners have on the edge between multiple identity transitions. The total area of the apartment is 80 square meters. The designers have made the space open, lightweight and accessible, and natural light extends to the entire floor windows, creating an excellent light atmosphere and highlighting the openness of the overall layout. The simple undertones of the space are soft, warm colors become the main characters, carrying the gentle peace of everyday life. Light blue wood and soft metal trim add a touch of spirit and playfulness to the space, like a small surprise encountered by those unexpected in life.
01 Freedom of space
Freedom of space
The designer divides the space scene with several freely stretchable wooden boards. The original spatial order is reorganized between the pushes, and the living and office areas can be perfectly integrated and clearly separated. Warm white and light blue wood finish becomes a color that permeates the space, creating an air of the whole space, and the apartment breathes its own air in various transformations. To maintain the breathability of the space, the designer put kung fu on several walls. With a wall panel, the leisure area is arranged along the wall in a neat and orderly structure. The area is naturally divided by a columnar barrier, which divides the area between a multi-person and a single person. The layout is easy to allow the overall rhythm to spread from one side to the entire office space. Choose a geometric block base made of light metal material. Effectively alleviates the visual sense of clumping in this area and diffuses thickly in the light reflection.
02 Soft Pack Freedom
Transformable Furnishing
If you want to achieve interactivity in a balanced space, you need to pay attention to the color mood between the hardware and the soft, as well as the theme of the overall flexibility of the space, so soft clothing that can walk freely is the key. Most of the soft fittings in the apartment are carefully selected by designers based on the overall harmony of the space and ease of movement for the starting point, and even specially tailored to the design of the space. The biggest highlight of the soft furnishings is the table tennis table designed by the designer according to the sports preferences and practical needs of the client. The unique color and texture of the wooden countertop, the milky white leather mesh, and the freshly colored table legs combine to make this unique and versatile sports equipment exclusive to the customer. THE TABLE TENNIS TABLE'S ROLLER AND SPECIAL BUCKLE DESIGN MAKES IT EASY TO SPLIT THE TABLE INTO TWO, WITH A LEATHER MESH, AND THE TABLE INSTANTLY TRANSFORMS INTO TWO DESKS THAT CAN WORK FOR FOUR PEOPLE TO MEET THE TEMPORARY WORK NEEDS OF SMALL TEAMS.
The interior of the apartment is designed as a comfortable living area, with handy storage cabinets, edges and tea tables that can be moved at will, as well as a luxury sofa bed for accommodation, and a washroom hidden behind the wall. Every detail is the life path that the designer draws from an aesthetic point of view to the client. Emphasizes the easy-going self of life. Work, entertainment and life are enough to fill this empty apartment. “Here, there is a relaxing atmosphere like when entering the playground, which does not tire of various fun interludes” is the customer's praise for this space. This free and varied atmosphere of a paradise makes the work full of expectations, and the inspiration between the switching of scenes and the exchange of scenes slowly grows.
The planning of the entire space, designers from the beginning think from the totality and interactivity of the space, gives life to the space. Combining the lighting advantages of the building itself and the high-rise landscape, the transparency of the view gives the whole area a sensory experience that is larger than the actual area, and meets the needs and expectations of the space. The space discards most of the fixed and soft fittings in the space to complete life, work and entertainment through interaction between people and objects The complementarity of each scene not only provides residents with an interesting space experience, but also leaves more possibilities for shaping life.
