This villa project in Sao Paulo, Brazil was initially inspired by cobogó hollow tiled facades designed by freelance architect Arthur Casas. Its three-dimensional form maintains the landscape view of the interior of the house and provides privacy for the occupant (a young couple with two children). The reinforced walls surrounding the land garden are designed to support the growth of plantings, creating a pleasant green dividing line between the street and the house.
THE ELEVATION IS MADE OF PRESENT-POURED CONCRETE, AND WINDOW FRAMES AND FIXTURES ARE EMBEDDED WHEN POURING CONCRETE. Its colors need to be tested and calibrated many times to achieve the ideal color. Thus, ocher concrete is the focus of defining and selecting other finishes and paint tones, such as wood, metal, and paint. As a house on a small plot of land with wide functionality, all floors are connected by an elevator to facilitate vertical circulation. A light well has also been built for natural light and ventilation in the basement. The basement contains a garage, wine cellar, office, service area and storage room. The ground floor includes an open plan living room and kitchen, toilet, barbecue facilities and garden. Children's Suites, Master's Suites and Guest Suites are available on other floors. The rooftop has a leisure area, a swimming pool and a terrace.
Interior designs include furniture by domestic and international design masters such as Sergio Rodrigues, Charles Eames, Lina Bo Bardi, Jean Gillon, and Ricardo Fasanello, as well as works by Arthur Casas such as Apache Dining Table, Antigua Coffee Table, Emiliano, Basset and Sinatra lampshades, Xingu chairs, Ripas loungers and Jacarandá Center Decor.
