The project is a renovation of an old stone detached house and its surrounding area. The aim is to minimize disturbance to preserve the original architectural features of the home. According to the requirements, the casing of the house is kept intact, except for two new windows for lighting and ventilation. Accordingly, the long doorway and the different doorways of the rooms on both sides were retained. The separate space was transformed into a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and only one internal wall was removed to unify the living area with the kitchen area.
Existing outdoor areas have not been fully utilized due to height differences. Thus, two different floors were created and connected by a grand staircase. The lower level, directly connected to the living room, was transformed into an outdoor dining area with barbecue facilities, while the top floor was designed with a small swimming pool. In furniture design, emphasize the traditional style of the house, combining modern lighting elements. Overall, natural colors and rustic wood were chosen, maintaining a well-groomed palette, while preserving and repairing traditional wooden ceilings as much as possible.
