Oksana & Vsevolod Volkov, the founders of Borosa Group, designed an apartment for themselves and their children. “Our clients are often too conservative about their property. We are free. We decided to create a minimalist image, adding bright colors. We love the style of Memphis. Indoors, it can be seen on display in our calmer interpretation.
The architect combined two two-room apartments together and completely redesigned the way they were. The living room, restaurant and kitchen form an open space, and the family office is hidden behind a mirrored partition, a bedroom with a dressing room, a spacious room for two children, a master bathroom and a guest bathroom.
The height of the apartment is short: only 2.8 meters. To visually enlarge it, the walls and ceiling are of the same color. All interior technologies stretch the space: Artpole wall panels, ceiling doors, built-in wardrobes and partitions of the entire height of the house, vertical lighting and overhead lights, which can be solved in the ceiling plane, or in the living room, in the form of tubular lamps. It feels like the room is much higher than it actually is.
