This 65 ㎡ apartment is located in the residential area of Sofisky, with views of the Cathedral of the Savior and the Kremlin Palace from the windows. The owner is a young person who likes dark colors and concrete. He lives abroad most of his time; the Moscow apartment is to provide a place to relax after flying to the capital and attending business conferences, allowing him to recuperate and replenish his energy. Designer Svetlana Herzen called the project “Land of Power”.
The main desire of customers is to have a maximally open layout and a minimum of walls. Therefore, interior architecture is created from scratch. Svetlana Herzen planned an open space in which the living room is combined with the kitchen, and the sleeping area is separated by a structure with a TV. There is a lot of storage space: the hallway has a spacious dressing room, utilities with space for washing machines and ironing boards, and in the bedroom there is a large dressing room. “That's why the interior looks so clean,” explains the designer. “The most important thing here is the scenery, the luxurious view of Moscow,” says Svetlana Herzen. — The concept is based on the desire to highlight the color palette of the capital and its varied moods: gentle sunrises, bright sunsets. The interior should be the frame of a big city.
To achieve this effect, we chose black and dark brown as the main tones. Deep complex tones on walls, ceilings, furniture create the effect of a frame with endless distances outside the window. Customers love the black tone of interior decoration and clothing. In my opinion, you should not avoid them: they make the interior truly stylish and comfortable. ” The project has many different textures: natural black solid wood for shelves, natural shades of Dekton stone for countertops and splash-proof boards, a large amount of metal on pillars, concrete, linen and woolen fabrics for high cabinets, silk wallpaper in the dressing room. Made for specific characters.
