“They say flowers are the words of the earth.”
— Fernando Pessoa
Like a flower, the villa “Petal Garden” is nourished and protected from sunlight. It simply touches the floor with large “U” glass windows. An internal curved structural wall that, together with the center of the villa (stairs), builds its interior. Petals hug the entire floor. In its organicist movement, openings and terraces appeared. To enhance their sense of presence, Sandra Micaela Casinha Atelier will use restrictions on three materials: white, aluminum and glass. As a result, the petals get more expression. The lower level is mainly a large U-shaped glass, which is where the petals simply descend. Here, you can also see three “light” materials: glass, aluminum and wood, which always have the same objective: to highlight the protagonist: the white volume of organicism.
In the interior of the flower, as already mentioned, a wall organization with curves and counter-curves creates transitions. The staircase defines the center of the home. It is here that from one layer to the next, continuity is felt from the winding structural wall.
In the decoration, you can feel the soft tones and “original” colors used in the building. Enhance the tranquility of the place, casual comfort, natural materials, and simple furniture. For this, designers use textiles and neutral colors, sometimes light green is seen on the chairs, emphasizing the color of kitchen furniture and living room wallpaper... a bamboo coffee table better emphasizes the intention of nature. Dried flowers and wonderful colors from orange to mauve.
