Located in Shanghai's century-old 30-square-foot flat, this apartment is built byVisual DesignRECONFIGURE THE LAYOUT. Although the original layout was good and the lighting was good, it was still not enough for homeowners who valued storage, so the design team carried out a complete demolition, throughThe combination of retro and natural materials, creating a home space that is both warm and textured.

Gable design: Feel the warmth of your home at first sight

The original gate area overlaps the walkway, resulting in a single function. The designer extended the entryway, setting up a whole row of storage cabinets, and using walnut frame arched mirrors to not only enhance storage, but also expand the visual depth.

This combination of art and practical design allows the ritual of home to be opened as soon as you enter the door, becoming the first gentle opening to the overall atmosphere.

Kitchen integration: sense of self and storage at a time

After the original partition of the dining kitchen area is demolished, the overall feeling of space is instantly enlarged. The designer is1.75 m Nakajima BarAs the core, it serves as a workbench and storage, underneath there is a cabinet and built-in oven.
