Created on land surrounded by the Valle de Bravo forest in Mexico, this resort villa focused on the use of natural materials, emphasizing simple clean lines. These volumes are simple and clear, creating a timeless and lasting space. Each part responds to different functions by connecting the different heights and paths of the elements that compose it.
The main feature of the design is the use of stone surrounds of different volumes of embedded ground. The stones are carefully selected and shaped to blend in with the surrounding natural environment to form a rustic and harmonious connection with the surrounding environment. Inside, stone occupies most of the villa, combining warm wood structures and wooden floors, providing a sense of contrast and balance. The structure defines the different spaces within the house, providing warmth and texture to the whole. To make the most of the surrounding views, the boulders are opened and intersected, creating a distinct outdoor space and allowing natural light and ventilation to enter the room. This creates a feeling of openness and connection with the outdoors, while maintaining privacy and security.
