Alto embodies a serious response to themes that combine modernity and tradition, which is common in the suburbs of Melbourne. Jolson Architecture's treatment of rich historic locations elevates the plans of heritage homes to meet the needs of modern families. The pleated posture flows through the interior space, conversing with the architecture, contrasting graphic elements offset the splendor.

The significant renovation retains the characteristics that connect it with its neighbors, although in addition to the familiar red brick, the irregular window forms and the verdant garden are the level of texture and modernity of the whole family. The interaction between the existing and the new begins at the first sight of the method. The original front door has been restored to its original form and an oversized front step has been redesigned to enlarge the order of arrival. The semi-circular opening of the entrance roof mimics the arched windows around it, providing a cool place for potted plants.

While the interior decoration is downsized relative to the ornate architectural features, the different style details are layered through textured finishes and furniture palettes. Large pieces of linen carpet on the floor, their fluidity contrasts sharply with the prismatic lines of the table legs. The soft tones provide a soft background that highlights the fine details of the finish, such as the hand-sanded panels in the Ceccotti bookcase.
