This flat apartment is located in Beijing. The change of the four seasons in Beijing is brief, but the opposite is significant. Taking advantage of the natural conditions of the top floor, we take advantage of the windows to brighten the eyes of the day through the seasons, and through the windows we drop shadowy voids to welcome the light on the body, creating this calm and warm state of life. People wander devoutly with time and do not feel any loss. The light is tinged with ambiguity, blurring the dullness and frigidity of the discharged burnout, and the wailing freedom of warmth.
A special custom entrance door brings the entrance and the interior into a unified state of open space, a detail that avoids controllable bulges. The control of the entrance light breaks the atmosphere into a single scene, providing more possibilities for meeting space, behavior, and mood. The partition of the space is carried out using cabinets at the entrance, without weakening the area to give a visual sense of extension, while the interaction with the skylight tightens the entire space, the division forms a moving line and deriving new paths. Make the space even more fun to walk.
This apartment is normally occupied by the owner and wife only two. Without privacy in the first place, we open up as much space as possible for the complex unfolding of our lives inside to unleash our moods and energies for a good home experience, cooking, eating, storing, socializing, reading, exercising, sleeping, and other private activities. Or round or square objects are placed independently of each other in a limited rectangular area, their edges gently applied to blend the mobility of the overall occupant of the space.

The ingenious use of mirrors to stretch the horizontal dimensions of the space makes the cabinet independent from error and at the same time that it adapts to other cabinets in space, forming the presence of its own design language. Our initial idea was to design space lines and angles to silently inspect the interior and smooth the right angles, while also creating personally identifiable spatial symbols through repeated circular shapes.
The restaurant is designed with local details to create a sense of boundaries, privacy and ceremonial dining. Based on dietary habits, we have included stoves, etc. in the form of revolving doors, which greatly preserves the beauty and comfort of the dining area. The original windows were secondarily designed by us in the form of perforated door panels, hiding the appearance of the original glazing window, retaining its luminous function, enhancing breathability, and giving light to the shape, shower space and light with more interaction and fun.
With a relatively private area, the most basic functions of the bedroom are restored, making sleep a very simple affair. We base it with microcement in uniform spatial tones, replacing the use of stone over large areas, where the stone is designed in a local form, forming details and parallaxes on the plane to highlight the natural beauty of the stone itself.
